SDK instrumentation
The open-source SDKs that instrument voice AI agents on LiveKit Agents, Pipecat, and LangGraph are licensed under the MIT license. See the SDK documentation.
Platform core (Business Source License 1.1)
The Parlot analysis platform (dashboard, API, ingestion, and evaluation services) is licensed under the Business Source License 1.1 (BSL 1.1).
Under the Additional Use Grant:
- Free production use is capped at 4,000 conversational turns per month for your own agents and agents you operate for clients.
- Above that cap, or to offer Parlot as a hosted service to third parties, you need a commercial arrangement with Parlot.
- Each version converts to Apache License 2.0 four years after its first public release.

Parlot Cloud plans
Hosted Parlot Cloud manages authentication, billing, and entitlements in the product. Open Settings → Plan & billing to see your current plan and turn usage.
Plans build on the Free tier. Exact entitlements can change; treat Settings → Plan & billing and in-app entitlements as authoritative. Typical included turns:

- Higher turn and recording allowances
